Father sentenced in death of boy who disappeared in 2003
CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) — A Missouri man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for the killing of his disabled 9-year-old son, who disappeared nearly 20 years ago. Dawan Ferguson was convicted in July of first-degree murder in the death of his son, Christian, whose body has never been found. Ferguson has always maintained that his son was abducted in June 2003. He said the boy was inside his car when it was stolen. Christian had a disorder that prevented him from processing protein and could not walk or talk when he disappeared. Ferguson was sentenced last week to life plus 30 years for sexually abusing two children over several years.
