Residential roads in Columbia could be slick for Monday’s commute

Some residential roads in Columbia remain slick on the Monday morning commute, however Columbia’s main roads are mostly clear.

Columbia Public Works crews reported to work at a normal time Monday after battling the harsh winter weather throughout the weekend.

Columbia’s road map shows which streets and residential areas are “passable,” according to the city.

Some residential streets remain covered with snow or ice and could create for a slick commute.

The city asked residents to call the city at 573.874.2489 if roads are not passable.

The weekend brought snow and harsh winter weather to mid-Missouri and impacts are still seen in residential areas
