Columbia road crews to focus on priority routes overnight
Columbia Public Works plans to work on snow-packed priority routes overnight.
The department said a new crew reported in at 7 p.m. to continue clearing the roads. The 16-person crew will focus on priority routes throughout the night.
The city also reminded drivers to move vehicles off of priority routes. Officials began enforcing priority routes at 4 p.m. Friday. Vehicles parked on priority routes could towed or ticketed at the expense of the owner.
According to the Columbia dispatch page, crews responded to 20 crashes between 11 a.m. and 8:15 p.m.
