Tracking more near-seasonal and comfortable days ahead
This Morning: Patchy fog, starting out the day in the lower 60s.
This Afternoon: A few clouds, mild in the mid-80s. UV Index up to 7 - sunburn possible for unprotected skin in as little as 30 minutes.
Extended: Upper high pressure just to our west will keep us dry and warm the rest of the week, with high temperatures marginally above average in the upper 80s. We'll have a warm start to the weekend with highs in the mid-upper 80s on Saturday, and low pressure pushing up through the southeast U.S. could bring a few showers along I-44. A cold front associated with a strong low pressure system to our northwest could also bring rain and a few thunderstorms late Saturday night into Sunday. That will drop a trace to about a quarter inch of rain through Sunday afternoon, though temperatures drop dramatically below average. Highs only reach the upper 70s to around 80 for the first half of next week with conditions clearing out once again.
