Crews battle cold temperatures while fighting Moberly house fire
An investigation is underway after a home in Moberly caught on fire Tuesday morning.
Firefighters said the fire started around 5:10 a.m. at a home in the 500 block of Garfield Avenue.
The Moberly Police Department was able to get everyone inside the home out safely.
It took emergency crews around 35 minutes to put the fire out after water supply issues were caused by a frozen fire hydrant.
According to the Moberly Fire Department, the fire caused around $25,000 in damages to the home.
The American Red Cross is helping the family who lived in the home.
Several other city agencies are working to fix the water lines and clear the ice in the street.
