Police investigate homicide in north Columbia

UPDATE 10:30 a.m.: A 25-year-old Columbia died after an incident near a gas station in north Columbia.

Dominick Roland, one of the passengers involved in Saturday mornings one car crash, was pronounced dead at the hospital after suffering an apparent gunshot wound. The condition of the driver was not released.

Police did not release any suspect information. The incident is still under investigation.

UPDATE 5:10 a.m.: Police said two people were injured in the crash. Police said they plan on being at the scene for a while.

ORIGINAL: Police are blocking off both directions of Rangeline St. at Kennesaw Ridge.

Shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday, authorities responded to a crash in the area.

ABC 17 News crews at the scene said the Phillips 66 gas station at the intersection is completely taped off.

Three police vehicles and a K-9 unit are at the scene.
