Tracking cooler air today before weekend rain chances

TODAY: Friday starts mostly clear with temperatures in the 60s. Today feels not much different than yesterday, with the exception of a north wind that has us feeling a few degrees cooler. Overall, Friday is partly cloudy, with highs in the upper 80s.

TONIGHT: Low level cumulus clouds will dissipate, but high clouds move in overnight. Temperatures remain slightly warmer; falling only into the upper 60s by sunrise on Saturday.

EXTENDED: Saturday afternoon marks the return of some better moisture as everything that was pushed south by Thursday's cold front surges back north. This brings a chances for isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms Saturday afternoon. Plenty of dry time will be found Saturday, and temperatures climb to near 90. Sunday brings a slightly better chance for isolated to scattered thunderstorms as the moisture moves overhead. Again, plenty of dry time will be found throughout the day, so don't expect a washout. Highs climb into the upper 80s. Looking at Monday, rain chances begin to climb further, but mostly in the evening. Depending on timing, we may see a cold front push a line of thunderstorms through Monday evening into early Tuesday. Temperatures in the mid-80s on Monday look to fall into the low 80s through the end of next week behind the front, with rain chances dwindling as well.
