Tracking a quiet pattern to start the week
TODAY: Starting clear and calm with temperatures in the low 60s, Monday morning will have a crisp feel. Some patchy fog will reduce visibility in some of the typical areas around sunrise. Otherwise, mostly sunny skies and a slight northeast will land us in the low-to-mid 80s this afternoon.
TONIGHT: Some sparse cumulus clouds will be present this afternoon, but clear overnight. Another clear and calm morning is expected by Tuesday, with temperatures in the low 60s once more.
EXTENDED: Much of the week ahead will be similar to the start of the week. Generally sunny to partly cloudy conditions are expected Tuesday through Friday, with temperatures inn the mid-80s Tuesday and Wednesday, with high 80s in store for Thursday through Saturday. With our overall pattern aloft, it's possible that we could pick up some slight rain chances Thursday and Friday, however, our next big chance for rain looks to hold off until Saturday. This is when a better chance for storms shows up in the forecast. Rain chances will grow into the weekend and early next week as an upper level low pressure system swings through the northern plains. A surface cold front looks to inch closer by Monday with rain chances along and ahead of it.
