Tracking another slow-moving cold front heading into the weekend

This Afternoon: Partly cloudy and gorgeous with highs in the mid-80s.

Tonight: Clear and mild as winds turn southerly. Lows in the mid to lower 60s.

Extended: By sunrise Friday, we'll see clouds approaching from the north. This will likely be ahead of a line of showers from storms that developed to our northwest Thursday night along a cold front. Some remnant activity is possible during the morning hours in the west, but another round of storms likely develops later Friday along and ahead of the cold front. This will bring a chance for isolated strong storms in our northwestern counties before weakening overnight. As the front makes progress eastward, the chance for an isolated strong storm likely translates east of highway 63 by Saturday. Chances for scattered storms remain on both days. Highs are in the mid-80s on Friday, and cool into the low 80s behind the front the rest of the weekend. Rain likely exits for Sunday, and we spend the rest of the next 7 days partly cloudy to mostly sunny as this system exits eastward. Highs remain cooler than normal through the rest of the forecast.
