Tracking less cloud cover tomorrow, warmer temperatures
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy early with gradual decreasing into the morning. Lows in in the lower 60s.
TOMORROW: Decreasing clouds and pleasant with highs in the lower 80s.
EXTENDED: As showers wind down, we ended up with about 1.7" at the airport in Columbia and 1.5" in Jefferson City. Clouds hold on through this evening with the best chance of lingering showers near I-44. Clouds begin to clear out tomorrow morning, leaving us with morning low temperatures in the lower 60s. Tomorrow and Thursday are beautiful with highs in the low 80s and low temperatures falling into the lower 60s. Friday is a bit warmer in the mid-80s, and we're looking to stay dry until after midnight. A strong low pressure system is expected to set up just to our north across the upper Great Lakes region this weekend, bringing a series of fronts through the area. The best chances of rain look to be between Friday night and early Saturday, and then again on Sunday into Monday. Depending on how long this system lingers, we could see storm chances continue into early next week. Rain amounts will add up to 0.5" to 1" over the weekend. Temperatures stay in the lower 80s through the weekend, with highs in the low to mid-80s to start off next week.
