Two women accused of pulling out gun in Boone County bar

Boone County Sheriff’s deputies arrested at least two women after they allegedly pulled out guns in a Boone County bar.

Matyia L. Tucker, 22, of Columbia, and Nickie G. Thorpe, 44, of Columbia, allegedly got in a fight at Jake’s Bar on Clark Lane, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.

Victims told deputies the two women got in a fight with multiple other women in the bar. Tucker then allegedly went in the bathroom and came out waving a gun around. Employees at the bar were able to pull the gun away from her.

Thorpe allegedly pointed a gun at one of the victims’ chest. Bar workers were also able to take the gun from Thorpe. Deputies said Thorpe smelled strongly of intoxicating beverages and had slurred speech.

Thorpe was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and fourth-degree assault.

Tucker was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon and fourth-degree assault. Tucker was on probation for a previous burglary, according to BCSD.
