Police close road to search for suspect in west Columbia
UPDATE: A police officer at the scene on I-70 Drive Northwest confirmed police closed the road to search for a suspect that ran from an officer.
A K9 was brought in to try and track the suspect.
Police said the person was last spotted in the treeline on I-70 Drive Northwest and the westbound entrance ramp to I-70 at Stadium Boulevard.
ORIGINAL: Columbia police currently have at least two roads blocked in west Columbia for an investigation.
ABC 17 News crews saw patrol vehicles on Stadium Boulevard, on the westbound I-70 on-ramp, on Garden Drive and on I-70 Drive northwest.
Right now police are blocking Garden Drive and I-70 Drive Northwest. ABC 17 News crews also saw a K-9 unit at the scene.
