Four charged with stealing from Mexico Walmart

Four people were charged on Monday after they allegedly stole four televisions from a Walmart in Mexico, Missouri.

The theft happened on Sept. 6, according to court documents. Jasmine D. Fisher, Kejon J. Ellis, Javion V. Ellis and Talicia K. Fletcher walked into the store in the afternoon and selected four televisions, court documents said. They then allegedly left the store without paying for them.

Javion told police the four decided to steal from that Walmart because they had heard the store was easy to steal from. He said each person involved in the theft got one of the televisions, court documents said.

Fisher and Kejon denied any involvement with the theft., and Fletcher did not want to be interviewed by police. Javion admitted to the theft and said he sold one of the televisions, according to the probable cause statement.

Fletcher and Javion were also involved in other thefts around the Columbia area in September. They allegedly used U-Haul trucks to steal a large quantity of clothes. Fletcher was also caught allegedly stealing Nike items from JC Penney during the same time period.
