However, authorities warn subfreezing temperatures Tuesday night could lead to slickness Wednesday morning. Columbia Public Works crews were continuing Tuesday to treat roads with beet juice and salt to help head off refreezing overnight.

The MoDOT Traveler Map showed some roads were covered Tuesday morning with a wintry precipitation on Highway 63 from northern Boone County to Callaway County with some slick spots.
Travelers should use caution on highways near Columbia and Jefferson City this morning. Overnight precipitation has left covered and partly covered conditions on those and surrounding routes. Check the Traveler Information Map before heading out.
