Columbia warming centers, shelters open during cold temperatures

Winter weather has come early to mid-Missouri, with temperatures well below what is typically seen in November.

The unseasonal cold brings with it more demand for shelters and warming centers, as temperatures are again forecast to reach the mid-teens with wind chills near 0 degrees by Wednesday morning.

Several locations offer shelter for those without it:

Several daytime warming centers also welcome people needing a break from the cold:
