Man charged with threatening to throw woman out of window

A Virginia man was charged with first-degree domestic assault and second-degree kidnapping Monday after he allegedly threatened to throw a woman out of her third-floor window in Columbia.

According to court documents, Jerry L. Camp tried to throw the victim out of the window, then threw her into furniture in the room, punched her and strangled her for approximately one minute. The victim said Camp held a butcher knife to her and threatened to kill her.

Camp is being held at the Boone County Jail on a $50,000, cash-only bond.
