Sunshine returns, but winter weather impacts may still be felt today
MONDAY: Breezy, northwesterly winds continue through this morning, and temperatures will start out in the upper teens and low 20s. With windy conditions we could see some blowing snow possible through the day. Slushy, wet streets will provide way to some slick spots early in the day as temperatures start below freezing. These issues should become null as the sun rises. It will be cold all day with temperatures struggling to get out of the upper 20s and winds will make it feel like the teens all day.
TONIGHT: Clear skies tonight in combination with snowfall will help drop temperatures into the teens through the night. Northwesterly winds from 6-8 mph drops the wind chill in the single digits for the morning commute. Make sure you bundle up and cover exposed skin!
EXTENDED: We’re tracking a slow warming trend this week, with temperatures back to the 40s by Wednesday. Sunshine dominates the forecast through Tuesday as high pressure moves overhead, with increasing clouds by Wednesday. Temperatures will continue to climb through the end of the week with southerly flow returning as high pressure moves to the east. An upper level wave could spark some light rain showers on Thursday. More widespread rain looks possible into the weekend on Saturday, also bringing the possibility for our next rain and snow mix.
