Court documents: Two witnesses present for Jefferson City shooting

Jefferson City police were still searching for a man accused of shooting his girlfriend on Tuesday after a domestic dispute.

According to court documents, Quency C. Floyd shot his girlfriend just before 3 a.m. on Tuesday on East Elm Street after they were arguing and she told him to leave.

Two witnesses said they heard the couple arguing and then found the victim had been shot, and Floyd had left the area.

Police found a 20-year-old Jefferson City woman covered in blood from a single gunshot wound to her right shoulder, according to JCPD.

The victim was transported to University Hospital for emergency surgery.

Police found 9mm shell casings at the scene, and they also recovered a firearm projectile from the scene.

Floyd has a warrant out for his arrest on charges of first-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
