Chilly through Tuesday, with rising temperatures leading up to Thanksgiving

TODAY: Clouds are slowly clearing out this afternoon, with a fairly nice afternoon expected to follow. Temperatures will top out in the mid 40s across the region, with steady winds out of the southwest up to 12 mph. You’ll still want to wear a jacket if you’re heading out, as the winds will make it feel more like the upper 30s through the day.

TONIGHT: Clear skies early in the night provides for radiational cooling as temperatures drop back into the mid 20s, but clouds will begin to build by morning. With steady winds out of the northwest up to 11 mph, it will be a chilly and raw start to the morning with feels like temps in the mid teens. Bundle up early Tuesday!

EXTENDED: Temperatures will be significantly colder Tuesday, following the passage of a cold front. Highs are only expected to top out in the upper 30s and lower 40s with plenty of sunshine. Thankfully the cold weather will only be here briefly, as winds backing around out of the southwest bring us a nice couple of days starting Wednesday. It’ll be the first time this month that Mid-Missouri has seen unseasonably warm temperatures, which couldn’t come at a better time on Thanksgiving. By Black Friday our next chance of rain returns to the forecast for the afternoon and early evening with temperatures close to 50. Saturday looks mostly dry with highs close to 60. By Saturday night into Sunday we could be tracking another quick moving shot of rain to end the weekend. Watch ABC 17 News for the latest on our changing weather and check back here for updates.
