Randolph County man sentenced for sex crimes
A Moberly man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges including sexual conduct with a child.
Carl Edward Sheets agreed to a plea deal on reduced charges Wednesday.
Sheets was arrested in 2017 on charges of incest, abuse and neglect of a child. Sheets reportedly denied the charges when he was arrested. His wife, Angie Sheets, was also arrested last year on similar charges. She is awaiting a hearing on Nov. 28.
Sheets has been denied probation but according to court documents, probation might be considered once Sheets completes a sex offender assessment.
