COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Due to weather-related delays, street crews with the City of Columbia Public Works department will continue to keep West Worley Street closed from its intersection with Park De Ville Drive to a point 200 feet to the west until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2.

The street has been closed since July 26 in order to allow crews to repair a failed section of pavement and also to install signal bases for a future pedestrian crosswalk.

Crews plan to continue to work daily from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Through traffic will continue to be detoured, and traffic control signs will be present to assist motorists in avoiding work zones.

Road maintenance work is scheduled to be complete and the road reopened by Wednesday, Aug. 3, at 8 a.m., weather permitting.
