On and off rain chances through Tuesday as cool weather continues
TONIGHT: It will be a chilly night as temperatures fall into the upper 30s under partly cloudy skies with south winds up to 7 mph. Areas of dense fog are possible.
SATURDAY: Spotty light rain is possible from morning through mid-afternoon with the best chance north of I-70 although a brief shower can’t be ruled out farther south. It looks breezy and mostly cloudy with southeast winds at 8-15 mph gusting as high as 25 mph at times. High temperatures will reach the upper 50s north to the lower 60s near the Lake of the Ozarks.
EXTENDED: Rain moves in from the west Saturday evening and overnight, moving out by mid-morning Sunday with rainfall amounts of a tenth to half inch expected. Any rain we see Sunday will be through the early morning hours, with only spot showers possible in the afternoon. High temperatures will stay in the mid 50s Sunday with a few peeks of afternoon sunshine. Another round of rain moves in Monday from afternoon into the overnight hours, moving out by early Tuesday morning. This will bring a better soaking with up to an inch of rain possible. For Election Day, after a chance of morning rain, we’ll dry out through the day and stay cool with highs in the mid 50s. Finally, we’ll see some sunshine from Wednesday through Friday as chilly, dry weather settles in later next week. The middle of next week will see highs struggling to climb into the lower 50s, with overnight lows near freezing. Tune in to ABC 17 News on-air and online for the latest forecast updates.
