Sunshine returning to Mid-Missouri
SATURDAY: We’re seeing some patchy fog this morning, mainly east of HWY 63. As we head throughout the morning hours, this will be burning off quickly with more sunshine. Temperatures will rebound back to more seasonal temperatures in the low to mid 60s with winds out of the west to southwest at 5 to 10 mph.
TONIGHT: Overnight we keep partly cloudy skies and quiet weather in Mid-Missouri. Temperatures will dip into the middle to upper 40s for overnight lows with winds turning to a more southwesterly direction ahead of an approaching front.
EXTENDED: We’re tracking a cold front that will move through Sunday morning but any rain associated with this front will be confined to our northeastern counties and will be light in nature, with most of us missing out. This front will be ramping up our winds behind the front, out of the northwest winds at 12-18 mph gusting at times to 30 mph. Temperatures will stay seasonal through the first part of the week before we see another cold front brings the chance for rain back into the area on Tuesday afternoon. Rain could be sticking around into early Wednesday but as of now, the front is expected to move out during the day Wednesday, leaving us dry and cool for trick-or-treaters. As the front stalls out, some areas to the southeast near I-44 could see lingering showers through Wednesday evening, however.
