Cloudy skies sticking around this afternoon
FRIDAY: Light showers are on the way out as we head into the afternoon. The clouds will stick around, only breaking up slightly later in the day, keeping temperatures on the cool side-in the low 50s for highs accompanied by a light northerly breeze. It looks chilly but dry for Sportszone Football Friday with temperatures falling into the mid 40s.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies stick around tonight as temperatures fall towards 40 degrees by morning. With winds light out of the southwest we could see some patchy fog develop by morning.
EXTENDED: The weekend will start off warmer and dry as temperatures warm into the low to mid 60s Saturday with a west to southwest breeze. An upper level wave will pass to our east Sunday morning and could produce a few light showers with the best chance east of HWY 63 and north of I-70. If this rain develops, it will be light with only a tenth inch of rain or less. It also looks windy Sunday with northwesterly winds at 12-20 mph, gusting up to 30 at times in the wake of this system. Highs will reach the low 60s Sunday under partly cloudy skies. Heading into next week, Monday looks dry with seasonal temperatures sticking around. Tuesday will be warmer and breezy, reaching the low to mid 60s as southerly winds increase ahead of a cold front which will bring a chance of rain by the afternoon, increasing Tuesday night. Rain is possible early Wednesday but as of now, the front is expected to move out during the day Wednesday, leaving us dry and cool for trick-or-treaters. As the front stalls out some areas to the southeast near I-44 could see lingering showers through Wednesday evening. Tune in to ABC 17 News on-air and online for the latest forecast updates.
