Overcast skies and light right through Friday morning

THURSDAY: Overcast skies are keeping temperatures on the cooler side this afternoon, as many locations will likely only top out in the lower 50s. While the first part of the day is expected to be dry, light rain will gradually begin to track into the region after 2 PM this evening from the southwest. The rain will become more widespread during the evening commute, with rain amounts on the light side.

TONIGHT: Light rain showers continue overnight with heavy cloud coverage hanging around. Overnight lows will drop into the low 40s with a light breeze out of the northeast.

EXTENDED: Any rain we see Friday early in the day will be limited to areas along and east of HWY 63. Skies will take some time to clear, with peaks of sunshine arriving late in the day. The overall weather pattern suggests that as we close out October, we will remain on the cool side thanks to a series of upper level disturbances that will constantly track through the region. While Saturday is expected to be dry, Sunday looks to bring a quick shot of rain as a disturbance tracks to our north. Any showers we see will once again be on the light side, with amounts less than .25″.Temperatures look to stay in the middle to upper 50s for highs all the way through the weekend.
