Central Bank of Boone County reports problems with processing

The Central Bank of Boone County reported having technical difficulties Friday morning because of a failure of the Federal Reserve Bank in St. Louis.

We are aware of several technical problems this morning. Rest assured we are working as quickly as possible to resolve them.

“The Federal Reserve Bank failed to send us an electronic file last night,” said Mary Wilkerson, senior vice president of marketing for the bank. “We are working with them right now to resend it so we can process it. Once we have it, it will take very little time to get it in people’s accounts.”

Users on Twitter said because of the failure, they were not getting direct deposit paychecks, and auto pay bills were bouncing back.

However, the bank said on Twitter that customers will not be penalized for the technical error.
