Another beautiful fall like day followed by rain chances on Friday

THURSDAY: After a cold start, we’ll have a pleasant afternoon as abundant sunshine warms us to near 60 degrees. Winds will stay under 8 mph from the southeast.

TONIGHT: Clouds build tonight with temperatures only dropping into the mid 40s through morning. With moisture increasing into the area light rain showers will pick up through morning. The heavier bands will likely set up south of HWY 50, but only minor accumulation is expected. Winds will be light out of the southeast up to 5 mph.

EXTENDED: Rainfall amounts will be light with .01″ to .25″, highest south. Rain moves out by early afternoon Friday and we are cool and dry from Friday night Into the weekend with great weather for Mizzou’s Homecoming events! If you’re headed out to Campus Decorations or Sports Zone Football Friday, temperatures will be in the 50s through 10 PM. Overnight lows Friday drop into the 40s creating for a cool start if you’re heading out to the Homecoming Parade at 9 AM Saturday. It will stay cool through Saturday as a northerly breeze at 10-15 mph keeps our daytime highs near 60, but with a lot of sunshine. Saturday night will be colder with widespread frost as lows dip into the low 30s. Sunday looks dry but cool as we stay in the mid 50s for highs. Highs into the beginning of next week rebound into the low to mid 60s, coming closer to seasonal. The dry weather pattern holds on through the middle of next week.
