Meth sale nets 15-year prison term

A Columbia man will spend 15 years in federal prison for his role in a conspiracy to sell methamphetamine.

Gary D. Warren, 32, was sentenced Wednesday in federal court in Jefferson City after he pleaded guilty in July to one count of conspiracy to sell methamphetamine and one count of possessing a gun in relation to a drug-trafficking crime, according to a news release from the office of the U.S. attorney for the Western District of Missouri.

Warren was arrested May 8, 2017, when he met with an informant to sell methamphetamine and had a stolen .380-caliber pistol, according to the release. He has a criminal history that includes more than 30 convictions for crimes ranging from unlawful use of a weapon to driving offenses, the attorney’s office said.

A co-defendant, Michael S. Bilderback, was sentenced to two years in federal prison last month.
