Three people injured after a wreck involving a tractor in Cole County

COLE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two people were moderately injured and another had minor injuries after a crash involving a tractor in Cole County on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Kellie Bertels, 44, of Westphalia and her 14-year-old son were driving a 2021 Jeep Cherokee and rear-ended a John Deere Farm tractor pulling a rake on Highway 50 2,300 feet east of Militia.

Keith Forck, 52, of Jefferson City, was driving the tractor, and Bertels were reported to have moderate injuries. The 14-year-old son was reported to have minor injuries.

Bertels and her son were wearing a seatbelt but Korck was exempted due to driving a tractor.

All three were taken to Capital Region Hospital in Jefferson City for treatment to their injuries.
