Water main breaks in south Columbia
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A water main in south Columbia broke Monday afternoon, sending a geyser of water into the air.
ABC 17 News crews saw water spouting from the ground in the area of Brandon Woods Street and Southampton Drive around 3:30 p.m. Workers with the fire department and Water and Light worked to shut off the water.
The break caused an outage for 25 Columbia Water and Light users, a city spokeswoman said. Repairs were likely to take four to six hours and the cause of the break was unknown, she said.
