Missouri set to release latest COVID-19 report as the state continues to see numbers increase
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The show-me state is set to release its latest COVID-19 activity report, as Missouri continues to see increases in COVID-19 numbers across the state.
The latest state profile report released on June 30, showed increases in multiple numbers including new cases, positivity rate, new hospital admissions and deaths.
According to the latest state profile report, Missouri saw 11,513 new cases in the last seven days reported.
During that same time, the positivity rate in the state jumped to 33.6%.
In hospitals, 706 Missourians were admitted with COVID-19 in the last seven days of the report, which is a 17% increase in the state.
At the same time, the most recent COVID-19 activity report showed Boone County had moved into the high transmission level.
Due to the high transmission levels, the CDC once again recommends wearing a mask indoors according to their policies online.
Additional recommended precautions include getting tested if symptoms present themselves, as well as staying up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations.
