Two badly hurt in Lake area motorcycle crash

A Columbia woman and a Moberly man suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash near the Village of Four Seasons at the Lake of the Ozarks on Sunday morning.

Brian Dunwoody, 50, of Moberly was passing an RV on a 2011 Harley Davidson on Horseshoe Bend Parkway at Palisades Condo Drive before noon when he lost control on a curve and hit a curb, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said in a crash report.

Both Dunwoody and Lesley Clark, 52, of Columbia were thrown from the motorcycle, the patrol said. Dunwoody was taken by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia and Clark was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital. Neither of them was wearing a helmet, according to the patrol report.
