COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly injured a person early Wednesday morning with a razor.

A Boone County prosecutor has charged Roger Knight with first-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon - exhibiting.

Columbia police responded to the scene of a fight at 12:23 a.m.

The victim told police that Knight woke him up and told him he needed to "get his shit out." The victim said he couldn't leave immediately but then Knight threw the victim's belongings down the stairs causing the fight, according to court documents.

During the fight, Knight allegedly used a small razor knife to injure the victim in multiple locations.

Knight is being held at the Boone County Jail after the court denied bond because there are no conditions to protect the victim.

Knight does not have a defense attorney listed, according to online court records.
