Miller County shooting suspect charged

A Miller County man was charged Monday with first degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child after he allegedly shot two people on Friday.

According to court documents, Devin Mckie got into an argument with two other people along Cender Drive in Eldon. During the argument, Mckie allegedly pulled out a gun and shot one of the victims several times in the chest and below the abdomen, causing serious injuries.

The second victim tried to stop Mckie when Mckie allegedly fired off another shot, which hit the second victim in the face, also causing serious injury.

When police got to the scene, they found shell casings and a 14 year old who said they were there during the altercation.
