Isolated showers & cooler weather into the evening

MONDAY: Overcast skies and isolated showers through the day will hold temperatures in the mid 70s. It’ll be breezy at times as winds will likely gust up to 20 mph, with winds out of the west. A few heavier downpours are likely in extreme eastern Mid-Missouri, but most locations will just see the isolated showers.

TONIGHT: Overnight we are going to begin to see drying conditions, but there still is a small chance for some stray showers through morning. Temperatures drop into the mid 60s with overcast skies expected. Winds will remain out of the west up to 11 mph.

EXTENDED: We’re tracking cooler weather arriving to Mid-Missouri behind all the rainfall. With a dip in the upper level jet stream, temperatures will top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s, about 5-10 degrees below average. Overnight lows will drop into the upper 50s and lower 60s. We hold onto plenty of dry time from Tuesday – Thursday, but late Thursday evening storms will increase overnight. Friday rain chances hold onto the forecast with another shortwave trough moving through the area. As winds return out of the southwest by the end of the week, heat & humidity will make a comeback. Temperatures will be more seasonal for this time of year, with highs even reaching into the 90s by the weekend. Watch ABC 17 for the latest forecast.
