Former Jefferson City couple charged after argument leads to shooting

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two Cole County residents are in jail after an argument led to a gun going off.

A Cole County prosecutor has charged Darrell Jackson and Aaliyah Hyde with multiple crimes after they got into an argument that turned physical.

On Wednesday night, Jefferson City police responded to West Atchison St. and Broadway St. about a disturbance.

During the altercation, both Jackson's and Hyde's guns went off though no one was hurt.

Jackson told police he was at Hyde's home to pick up his child.

Jackson is charged with armed criminal action, second-degree domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon while intoxicated and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Hyde is charged with first-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon while intoxicated and unlawful possession of a firearm - subsection 9.

Both Hyde and Jackson are being held without bond at the Cole County Courthouse. Both do not have a defense attorney listed, according to online court records.
