Scattered showers possible this afternoon

MONDAY: We look to stay mostly clear for the Monday morning commute, however, scattered showers are possible north of I-70. You’ll want to hang on to the umbrella for the afternoon, as scattered storms will pick up through the afternoon. They will be widely scattered, but we can’t rule out a few brief heavy downpours through this afternoon.

TONIGHT: Overnight we are going to begin to see drying conditions, but there still is a small chance for some isolated showers through morning. Temperatures drop into the mid 60s with clouds hanging around there area. By morning some areas of patchy fog could develop.

EXTENDED: We’re tracking cooler weather arriving to Mid-Missouri behind all the rainfall. With a dip in the upper level jet stream, temperatures will top out in the low 80s, about 5-10 degrees below average. Overnight lows will drop into the low 60s. We hold onto plenty of dry time from Tuesday – Thursday, but late Thursday evening storms will increase overnight. Friday rain chances hold onto the forecast with another shortwave trough moving through the area. As winds return out of the southwest by the end of the week, heat & humidity will make a comeback. Temperatures will be more seasonal for this time of year, with highs even reaching into the 90s by the weekend. Watch ABC 17 for the latest forecast.
