Jefferson City man dead after jet ski capsizes

A 33-year-old Jefferson City man died Thursday afternoon when his jet ski capsized on the Lake of the Ozarks.

Tyrell Anderson was riding in Camden County at about 4:45 p.m. when his 2006 Yamaha jet ski capsized, sending him into the water, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said in an online crash report. Anderson tried to get back on the jet ski, but suffered what the patrol called an “unknown medical condition” and fell back into the water. He was pronounced dead at Lake Regional Hospital.

Anderson was the fourth boating fatality in the patrol’s Troop F this year.
