Columbia police confirm armed robbery at Forum Blvd. Break Time

UPDATE: Columbia police confirm two men tried to rob the Break Time Convenience Store at 1410 Forum Blvd. at about 1 a.m.

Both men were wearing masks and were armed with handguns. Police said they demanded money from the clerk.

There is no additional suspect description or information.

ORIGINAL STORY: Columbia police were seen blocking off the Break Time gas station on Forum Boulevard, near Stadium Boulevard, early Saturday morning.

According to online dispatch records, police were called to the gas station just before 1 a.m. for reports of a robbery.

ABC 17 News heard reports of the incident being a possible armed robbery, but police have not confirmed it.

ABC 17 News crews saw police blocking the gas station off with crime scene tape and talking to people inside the Break Time.

ABC 17 News reached out to police for more information about the incident and is waiting to hear back.
