Atwill wins Democratic nomination for Boone County presiding commissioner

UPDATE: Unofficial results show Dan Atwill won the Democratic nomination over David Seamon for Boone County presiding commissioner.

ORIGINAL: Incumbent Boone County Presiding Commissioner Dan Atwill is running against David Seamon for the Democratic nomination.

Atwill was appointed by the governor to fill the vacant post of Boone County Presiding Commissioner in 2011. Atwill was elected in 2012 and re-elected in 2014.

Seamon graduated from Columbia College and in 2012 he accepted a commission in the Marine Corps as a Second Lieutenant.
