UPDATE: Columbia police confirm a woman fell from the Fifth and Walnut Parking garage after sustaining a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
ORIGINAL STORY: Columbia police were seen blocking off an intersection of Walnut Street late Saturday night through early Sunday morning.
Residents in the area saw police block off the area of Walnut and 5th streets around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
ABC 17 News crews reported the area was still blocked off around 1 a.m. Sunday.
Online dispatch records showed police responded to the area around 11:30 p.m. for reports of shots fired.
Dispatch records also showed that medical units were called to the same area around the same time.
