61-year-old recovering after serious crash in Boone County

A head-on collision on Route OO in Boone County around noon sent one man to the hospital in serious condition.

According to Highway Patrol crash reports, Michael Burt, 61, was driving just south of UU when he was hit head on by Ashley Greer, 36.

Troopers said Greer crossed the center line and hit Burt head-on in the southbound lane.

He got serious injuries but MU Health officials have confirmed he is now in good condition.

Burt’s 10 and 6 year old passengers only got minor injuries.

Everyone was wearing a seatbelt.
