Police arrest woman accused of stealing from Jefferson City garage sales

A Jefferson City woman accused of stealing from several garage sales is out of jail Monday morning.

Police said Lindsey G. Birdsong, 34, was arrested Saturday for multiple thefts after investigators followed up on more than two weeks’ worth of leads.

According to the police department, witnesses were able to identify Birdsong as the suspect who committed the thefts.

Birdsong was taken to the Cole County Jail and released on a pre-set bond of $5,000.

At last check, prosecutors haven’t formally charged Birdsong.
