Burnett is accused in the home invasion and shooting that left one person hurt at a home in the 200 block of Loch Lane on Dec. 3.
Police arrested Burnett on possible charges of felony armed criminal action, felony unlawful use of a weapon, felony unlawful for certain persons to possess a concealable firearm, felony first-degree assault, felony first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and felony first-degree burglary with bonds to be set by the court.
Burnett is a convicted felon, which makes it illegal for him to have a firearm.
Investigators said police officers found a blood trail from the victims’ home that led toward an area where the suspects’ vehicle was last seen.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab later confirmed DNA taken from a swab of blood collected at the scene was a positive match Burnett.
