Spot showers before a dry, & beautiful weekend

WEDNESDAY: Showers and t-storms are possible in the morning with the best chance closer to the Lake of the Ozarks. Temperatures will stay in the mid to upper 80s with low humidity under partly to mostly cloudy skies and southeast winds up to 10 mph. There is also a chance of a few afternoon showers and storms, but a lot of areas will see dry time through the day.

TONIGHT: More storms are possible late Wednesday night into Thursday morning, but will be widely scattered in nature. Skies will remain partly cloudy with temperatures dropping towards 70 degrees. Winds start to shift out of the southwest tonight, which will bring higher humidity for the morning commute.

EXTENDED: Thursday afternoon a spot storm chance continues as a warm front moves through. This will bring temperatures back up to near 90 Thursday and into the low 90s Friday and will increase the humidity. Heat indices will climb into the mid 90s Thursday and upper 90s Friday. A cold front will move through Friday, giving us a chance of morning storms, but afternoon dry time. Winds will shift to the north behind this front, ushering in cooler, drier air and giving us a nice start to the weekend. The upcoming weekend looks mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 and nights in the upper 60s. Check back with ABC 17 News for the latest forecast and updates throughout the week.
