Woman hurt in boat explosion at the Lake of the Ozarks

A 20-year-old woman was injured Sunday morning in a boat explosion at the Lake of the Ozarks.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report, Christina Parker, of Eldon, tried to launch the boat into the water at a boat ramp at the 2.7 mile mark of the Gravois Arm. When the woman attempted to start the boat, there was a mechanical failure that caused it to explode.

The report said the woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
