Tracking dangerous heat and humidity most of the week

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and stuffy with temperatures remaining in the upper 70s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and breezy with highs in the mid-upper 90s. Heat index values between 102-106.

EXTENDED: The Weather Alert Day will continue into tomorrow with heat indices between 102-106. We won't have much relief other than a strong southwest breeze, but it's hard to feel a temperature difference at least until the end of the week. I'm tracking a slow moving cold front that could bring a few showers and storms late Wednesday night into Thursday. The better chance for severe weather looks to be to our north with this, but we'll keep a close eye on it. The front looks to stall out across the region on Thursday, keeping locations north of it slightly cooler in the lower 90s. Unfortunately, heat looks to hold on through the end of the week into next week as we remain in the low 90s for Friday and the weekend, with mid-90s returning for early next week. The overall pattern for the next two weeks looks hotter and drier than average.
