Osage Beach firefighters rescue people trapped in RV after overnight storms

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Osage Beach Fire Protection District sent crews to the area of Fort Leonard Wood Recreational Area with reports of a tree on an RV with multiple people trapped.

While in route, crews were told two people were injured and one person was trapped.

After an hour and a half, the trapped victim was removed safely and in stable condition. The other person was treated onsite.

Crews used multiple sets of equipment including spreaders (jaws of life), cribbing, airbags, and rescue jacks to stabilize, secure and displace the tree and camper to be able to free the victim.
