Tracking overnight and early morning showers and storms

Tonight: Scattered showers and storms will slowly develop and remain weak throughout tonight. The majority of the viewing area will not see this first round of precipitation. A second round of widespread showers and storms will begin to develop ahead of an incoming cold front that will begin past 3 am for the western parts of Central Missouri. The overnight low bottoms out into the mid-60's.

Tomorrow: The widespread showers and storms will remain in Central Missouri until mid-afternoon Monday. The afternoon high tops out into the upper 70's as winds remain out of the south. Rainfall amounts will total from .5" to 1" with isolated areas seeing just over an inch.

Extended: Temperatures will remain into the upper 70's throughout the duration of the week while scattered showers will appear once again throughout Tuesday. On Wednesday, another low pressure system moves just south of Mid- Missouri leading to more widespread showers and storms. Thursday looks to be dry before more chances of showers and storms appear by Friday.
