St. Elizabeth R-IV School scheduled to host intruder drill

UPDATE 11:25 am: The superintendent for St. Elizabeth R-IV said this is one of their regularly scheduled drills that the school has been doing for the last five years.

The superintendent said it is really important to continue practicing these type of drills over and over again.

This is the fourth scheduled drill that the school has done this year.

ORIGINAL STORY: Troopers announced that the St. Elizabeth R-IV School will be conducting an intruder/evacuation drill on Wednesday afternoon.

Motorists and residents in the area can expect to see activity at the school around 2 p.m. Officers said there is no need to call 9-1-1.

The exercise is being facilitated by school officials.
